Some people think enjoying the present is more important than planning for the future for both countries and individuals.

It is irrefutable that happiness is the utmost priority for everyone to live joyfully. Still, some opine that rather than choosing the future, handling present situations is more important, which applies to a person and to countries. But, I disagree with the statement and elaborate on my views favoring the negative trend, which leads to a logical conclusion.

To begin with, if students do not adequately plan for their future, they cannot cope with the hurdles in their careers. For instance, while studying in primary education, pupils concentrate only on assignments or project work and do not think about what specializations need to be pursued in secondary education; they cannot take the step forward. At the last minute, they cannot choose it wisely. As a result, they lose confidence and determination levels. They cannot succeed in their goals, making them face problems in the coming generations and thus leads to unhappiness in their whole life with many regrets.

Secondly, everyone is accustomed to luxurious life and has to work harder to get high pay in this modern world. In other words, employees in the information technology industry have to switch jobs by learning up-to-date technology. So, if these people are enjoying the present moment and not making a to-do list for the next five years, they will be unhappy for the rest of their lives, which is unacceptable.

To conclude, even though people argue that living in the present moment is more important than choosing the best plan for the next few years, I think they are the ones not making it through and will face the consequences in the future.
