Learning vocabulary by following the conventional domain needs time and dedication, and it seems to be a challenging task. Moreover, memorizing a vocabulary list is not only monotonous but also ineffective. So we need to follow a prudent approach to improve our English efficiently. The main point is that you must follow some small steps to improve your vocabulary.

• Include English in every aspect of your life; listen to English songs, read English magazines, and converse with strangers in English
• Stay away from dubbed movies. Watch movies in the original version. If you are unable to understand the movie, read its storyline online and watch it again.
• Do not waste time on social media. Invest your spare time in something productive that can support you in improving your English (like listening to debates, reading a magazine or a book, or watching a biography or autobiography in English).
• If staying away from social media is a daunting task for you, follow those channels and accounts that provide language tips and resources.
• Be a voracious reader and read books of your interest and the news of your choice in English, and refrain from translating every single word you do not have any knowledge of. Many articles contain irrelevant words to the reader and are just added to make the content lengthy. Focus on the text that is significant for you.

No, I don’t think grammar is the most challenging part, as there are specific grammar rules. I believe it is logical so that it can be learned with practice. However, pronunciation can be very tricky, as I find there are no fixed rules for it.

Yes, I think grammar is essential in language learning. If the grammar is wrong, the sentence can have a different meaning, leading to misunderstandings and embarrassment.

For example, I taught and was taught to mean completely different things; the presence of was in the middle ultimately changed the meaning.
